Three Months

We have a 3 month old! I really cannot believe it. I feel like we were in the hospital yesterday. It's really true, they grow up too fast. I have been having these mom moments where I can't wait for her to grow up to see her learn new things and on the other hand I want her to stay this little forever. One day she will be too cool for me, so I am soaking in every single moment I have with this little lady while she thinks I'm the coolest ever.

At three months Olivia is:
  • blowing raspberries
  • cooing
  • has found her hands
  • grabbing and pulling on everything (mostly my hair)
  • drooling like nobody's business
  • loving bathtime
  • staying awake for most of the day
  • an awesome sleeper
  • very alert
  • so close to laughing
  • loves to be sung to
  • making mommy and daddy tear up every time we see her smile
She is finally gaining some weight on her own (without us having to supplement anymore). She is now 10 lbs 4 oz and 23 inches long. We were able to move her up a diaper size and she is now able to fit into more of the cute clothes we have for her. We are moving into the stage where she is starting to develop really quickly and is doing something new almost every day. Aaron and I get so excited when we see her do something new, even if it is just holding onto her blanket or making a sound we've never heard.

Olivia will be our only child that we can soak in every moment and not have to worry about another little one running around. I am trying to remember this and enjoy those little things like evening walks, giving her a bath, playing with her, late morning snuggles in bed, and especially those moments when I get woken up in the middle of the night. Even though its so hard to wake up to feed her, she smiles at me every time and my heart melts. I know one day I will miss these moments, so I make sure to love on her the most during those precious sleepless hours.

We are loving this mom and dad thing. Being a parent is the best thing in this world.
